Rome, Italy
I moved to Rome in 1995, five years after moving from London to Milan. I thought I'd use this blog to show some of the places and events that I've enjoyed photographing here in Italy. Like the amazing festivals, often celebrating the patron saint of the town. These are passionate affairs in which the whole population of the town shares. Sometimes they reveal extremely deep seated, even bitter, rivalries between different neighbourhoods. I am attempting here to add a bit of a story to these shots. So I hope you will find it interesting and maybe tempt you to go and visit some of the sites, or the festivals or whatever happens to come within range of my camera lens.
